Cinegy Encode

Cinegy Encode is the IP convergence gateway product converting SDI (SD/HD/UHD) into IP MPEG Transport Streams
(TS) or NDI that can be streamed across standard Ethernet networks either using the RTP or UDP protocols either
one-to-one (unicast) or one-to-many (multicast) transmission. The opposite direction is also possible (IP-> SDI) so in
fact Cinegy Encode is also a decoder. Transcoding (IP to IP) is also possible e.g. to change bitrates, video/audio codec
or the streaming protocol. Cinegy Encode can use Cinegy Route to advertise and register its streams in the Cinegy
Route Directory server.
Cinegy Encode share its core engine with Cinegy Air so the same GPU-acceleration options for encoding can be used.
Up to 16x instances of Cinegy Encode can run on one physical machine which provides fair amount of scalability.
Cinegy Encode can also be “abused” as standalone AC3 encoder/decoder, audio matrix mixer / re-mapper or other
potential purposes no one has yet thought about.
Cinegy Encode can also be used in conjunction with Cinegy Subtitle e.g. for creating a SDI subtitle inserter being fed
by the output of the Cinegy TS Muxer to then create a baseband SDI signal with inserted Teletext subtitles in the VANC
space.
